AGREEMENT OF COOPERATION BETWEEN
THE CHINA MARITIME ARBITRATION COMMISSION AND
?THE LONDON MARITIME ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION

  Being convinced that fair and expeditious arbitration proceedings facilitate international trade, the China Maritime Arbitration Commission and the London Maritime Arbitration Association, jointly referred to hereinafter as ^the parties ̄, have agreed as follows:

  1. The parties shall co-operate in the promotion of arbitration as a means of settling international commercial disputes;
  2. The parties shall endeavor to co-operate in the setting up and running of conferences and seminars on arbitration;
  3. The parties shall provide each other, upon request, facilities or administrative services necessary for conducting arbitrations; the costs incurred shall be borne by the party who makes the request;
  4. The parties shall exchange information and, whenever possible, lectures and publications of mutual interest on arbitration;
  5. The parties shall endeavor to exchange visits to each other¨s office.

 

This Agreement is done in Shanghai on the 11st Day of October, 2002
In witness thereof, the authorized representatives of the parties have appended their signature to this agreement.
