Shanghai Sub-Commission of China Maritime Arbitration Commission following two departments respectively, Fishery Dispute Resolution Center, Logistics Dispute Resolution Center and Maritime Conciliation Center was formed to in January 2003. It executes the same function as CMAC, and can independently accept and hear cases. According to Article 2 of CMAC Arbitration Rules, we take cognizance of cases relating to the following maritime disputes:

1. salvage, collision, raising and general average;

2. carriage of goods by sea under contract of multi-model transport or any other transport documents, as well as from carriage of passengers;

3. sale, construction, repair, leasing, towage and demolition of ship or other offshore mobile units;

4. marine insurance and ship’s protection and indemnity;

5. logistics;

6. fishery production or fishing and so on;

7. other maritime dispute or dispute relating to maritime event submitted for arbitration by agreement between the parties.

We have resolved a great number of maritime disputes, which effectively protect the lawful rights and interests of both Chinese and foreign parties, and have gained high reputation among the people at home and abroad engaged in shipping, insurance, trade and law.
